If you were to list some of the world’s greatest dangers, you may include terrorism, bad weather, global warming, international threats, diseases and so on. But what you are likely going to find absent from the list is the tongue and yet, as we look into the Word of God it is one of the world’s greatest dangers. In James 3, the tongue is described as a “fire, a world of unrighteousness” which is able to destroy the course of one’s life. David wrote in Psalm 39:1, “I will guard my ways, that I sin not with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle.” Again in Psalm 120:2 the Psalmist in his distress cried out to the Lord to be delivered from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue. Solomon in giving counsels to his son had much to say about the tongue to him because of the unspeakable power that the tongue possesses. In Proverbs 18:21 Solomon teaches us that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” In Proverbs 13:3, “He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.” The Bible has much to say about the tongue and its dangers and yet it is underestimated by many.
“We are not called to be feeling Christians but mindful Christians whose feelings are bound with truth which is the result of the activity of the mind.” “We live in a culture where the mind has been demoted and emotions has been promoted and that’s dangerous.” “We are not suggested to use our mind but commanded to do so.”
What the World Needs: A Generation of Godly Men The World need men who are no longer boys. Men who are actually in a men’s body. Men who are no longer in a perpetual state of boyhood but have crossed the line from boyhood to manhood. This book from Mike Fabarez is designed to help parents and those would be parents to understand the necessity and the biblical principals that we can employ to shepherd our sons to be Men of God for the Glory of God.
Born in the late 20th century, 1994 to be precise, I was too young to witness the ministry of S. Lewis Johnson or James Montgomery Boice. I was not alive during the ministry of men such as Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones, Cornelius Van Til, and Francis Schaeffer. Sometimes, I do wonder “how would it have … Continue reading I Witnessed the Ministry of a Spiritual Giant, Dr. R.C Sproul
Natural and Special Revelation John Calvin: “God has not left Himself without witnesses” When we understand the Creator and Creature distinction, we come face to face with the reality that unless He the infinite God reveals Himself to us finite being, we would not know Him. We cannot know God unless He reveals Himself to … Continue reading Foundations of Faith – Lesson 1 – Natural and Special Revelation
[New Blog Post] In the final analysis, we must retain that, basic biological facts about man and woman are absolute and not subject to change. They are the basis of gendered pronouns. Introducing pronouns such as ‘Ze’ or ‘Zir’ do not have a basis in biology but in one own thought up, subjective reality.
Your spouse sometimes may not be available, but God is always available. You have unlimited minutes with God, use it and don’t put Him on hold during the day. Don't get into the mindset that you can only pray to him in the morning and before you go to bed. Your spouse is not compartmentalised in your life so God must not be compartmentalised in your life.
if we look to the Scriptures in the light of who God is, we will then look at the doctrine of election in a different way. Coming to the scriptures knowing that God is all Sovereign and is Holy leads us to think that he didn’t have to choose anyone, but the fact that he did is a revelation of his love not unfairness. If we have a God centred view of God and go the scriptures with this mind set, affirming biblical doctrines becomes a non issue because they are by nature God centred.
In the light of God’s Incomprehensibility and human finiteness, He nevertheless disclose himself to us so that we may know him and furthermore, have a relationship with him. That’s Grace!
The abortion issue goes far above the Brexit negotiations, the economy, national security because it has to do with the Dignity of Life and that’s far more precious. This is why it is a decisive factor for many people because as Stephen Bullivant wonderfully writes “Being part of the official opposition to a Tory Government, my conscience can live with; being the official opposition to the unborn, it cannot."
The secularisation process in Great Britain is a reality that has been made evident with for instance the decline in Church attendance over the years. The number of Churches that are turning into pubs and mosques has been a real concern to Church leaders in the UK. But what now would be more concerning is perhaps the recent study done concerning people’s religious identification.

But baby Ami and all those who survived before 24 weeks in gestation are living proof that a baby at that stage in development is definitely first of all a living human being, not a mere foetus or a bunch of cells. And secondly by necessity of their humanity, they have inherent dignity and sanctity. The rise in technology in the sciences are proving to be critical in showing to people that at every stage of development post fertilisation, there is found a Living Soul that must be protected.
In this sermon, preached as Union Chapel in Bethersden last year, I sought to show how "The Sending of the Son, The Incarnation of the Son, The Life of the Son" are all necessary for our Salvation from Galatians 4:4
New Blog Post- "The Eradication of the Terms Boy and Girl." - How would you feel if one day your child comes back from school and tells you that the school has banned the use of the word ‘girl’ and ‘boy’? You would probably take the claim as a joke and outrightly dismiss it. But now if you do find yourself in this context, don’t be too quick to disregard the claim because your child would probably be telling the truth,
The Gospel has many components parts to it which are all coherently essential for our salvation. Many christians are only confine to the death and resurrection of Christ. If I were to ask you what is the first thing that comes to your mind when I say the word Gospel. Most of you would probably say the death of Christ or the Resurrection of Christ. And those are right. But what about the first coming of Christ, Is this essential? What about the life of Christ, is that important? What about his incarnation, is that significant? Yes they are.
This case which has been going for at least two years and highlights once again the tension between the law of the land and the freedom of conscience. In the case of the MacArthur Family, their religious conviction that marriage is between a man and a woman could not drive them to bake a cake with a pro-gay slogan. Their consciences were held captive to the Word of God and just like Luther said at the Diet of Worms,“to go against conscience is neither right nor safe.”
In the midst of this sea of confusion student need to keep in mind that science as a discipline is ultimately and only possible because of a supernatural God who created the cosmos and everything in it. The Psalmist proclaims “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.”
As seen through the Hubble Telescope that the universe is expanding, the implication was that if we go back in time, we would come across a universe that was very small like the end of a needle. There must have been a point of singularity from which the universe as we see it now have expanded from. If we go back further than that, the logical inference is that there was no universe. It is at this point where scientists, especially those who hold to materialistic worldview, shudder because something cannot come out of nothing and out of nothing, nothing comes. For those however who adhered to God as the creator of the universe, this scientific discovery is consistent with the belief. For Professor Hawking however, he writes ‘ An expanding universe does not preclude a creator, but it does place limits on when he might have carried out his job!
Humans are those who reflect God’s likeness, goats don’t do that and they couldn't care less since they are not conscious of the creator.
“At the heart of the problem is confusion over the nature of the transgendered.”Sex change" is biologically impossible. People who undergo sex-reassignment surgery do not change from men to women or vice versa. Rather, they become feminized men or masculinized women. Claiming that this is civil-rights matter and encouraging surgical intervention is in reality to collaborate with and promote a mental disorder.”
In a culture of death, abortion being legal does not suffice. It has to be made readily available.
There was a time when acts of terrorism in its various forms would send a massive shock-wave to us. Turning on the TV and seeing the news report about innocent men, women and children having been unexpectedly killed and fatally injured by suicide bombers would send such a wave of distress and disturbance. However, nowadays … Continue reading The Shocking Reality That Is Not Shocking Anymore

...ontologically they deny the existence of God however they were living in accordance to that ontological premise. When one believes in the inexistence of the Christian God, essentially or by logical necessity, one has to also deny everything that hangs upon that premise. Any values, meaning and purpose that deductively come from that ontological premise must also be denied.
We thank God for man like Michael Overd who in the face of difficulties continued to be loyal to Christ by preaching the Truth. Unbelievers are characterized by The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit as Truth Suppressors. As Christians we cannot be in that category, we have to be Truth tellers even if we suffer for it.
The fact that people are born with genetically inherited diseases and other forms of complications, are signs that we live in a fallen world. Thus this should direct our attention to the One who will one day bring an end to all diseases.
The abortion debate is ongoing and as Christians we cannot be silent on this issue because lives are at stake. We need to speak up for the babies in the womb, created in God’s Image who cannot speak.

We have to come to The Reality of Evil, Worldviews, Sin, Absolute Morality...
Reading is not an end in itself, but it is that which in the long-term has its effect and sometimes you do not even realise it, until someone mentions it to you.
We may not always be in agreement with the decisions the UK parliament makes but at least on the rejection of this proposal we should thank the Lord. It may be that one of those terminally ill patients in support of the proposal be one of God’s elected son or daughter who is yet to be saved. Hence we should act upon this decision and preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with the knowledge that being terminal illness is of course awful and terrible, but to be eternally dammed is worse.
True Spirituality by Francis A. Schaeffer. A very short and quick overview of the book and hopefully it might end up on your bookshelf as well.
Reality is Not something constructed but Revealed - Not relative but Absolute.
Supply and demand was once related to products and services but now we have a new category ‘Organs of aborted children’. To even think of killing a child in the womb is distressing enough and now to sell their organs and tissues through a well formal process is beyond belief
This ruling from the Supreme Court did not surprise God in anyway, He is still sovereign and we await for the day when the “Supreme Court will be judge in the Ultimate Supreme Court”. Remember that Absolutes from an Absolute God remain Absolutes whether or not earthly institutions rule in direct oppositions to them. Here we stand, we can do no other. God help us.
As Christ forgave, so we forgive - The pain was there, the sadness of losing a loved one was present but above all and perhaps the most unlikely attitude to expect in the aftermath was forgiveness, mercy and compassion which triumphed.
2 Timothy 1:5 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. Why Philosophy? John Warren Antalika 14th March 2015 “You are a Christian, why do you study philosophy?” If you are a Christian philosopher or simply one who studies philosophy like I do, you were most likely asked this question either by fellow believers or unbelievers. It is not a surprise that philosophy as a discipline … Continue reading Why Philosophy?
Whether one is inside or outside the evangelical circle, Theology when asserted brings to mind the connotations of polemics, controversial debates, divisions, fundamentalism or sometimes even confrontation. Although some these connotations are to some extent true yet it is devastating for a “Christian” to disregard theology. I have put the word 'Christian' in quotation marks … Continue reading Why Theology?
